Following their win, Limden Vineyard joined us for an exclusive Q&A session, sharing insights into their journey, their products, and what great fulfilment means to their brand.
What was your reaction when you found out that you won?
“I was honestly astounded. It’s such a great initiative.”
What are you planning to do with the diamond?
“I was actually planning to take it to a bespoke jewellers in Tunbridge Wells to make a pendant. Then, I’ll gift the pendant to my daughter.”
Tell us about your business, what do you sell and how long have you been operating?
“My first planting was in 2013, where I created my first vintage wine in 2016. We started specialising in still wines and at the time, there were less still makers than sparkling. We’re based in East Sussex, the reason we’re called Limden Vineyard is because in my woods, runs Limden river, which runs into the Rother, so that’s the geographical element. ‘Sarah’s Choice’ is dedicated to my wife, as she prefers chardonnay.
The ‘O.R.Some’ is our Pinot Noir rose, and the title is Olivia Rose. This one here (the ‘3.2.10’) is when my son was born, so this is dedicated to him. And this one, Just About, is because we just about managed to harvest, as it was a really tough year. And then the art is, every year we have a painting commission by a local female artist. The reason why it’s female is that they are highly underrepresented in the art world in comparison to men. And the idea was to keep it contemporary and not too obvious. We keep the originals at home, and then the idea is that down the line, we can create an art gallery, with the original paintings alongside the wines.
That’s the idea behind it. On the back of the bottles, I always leave the details of the artist, so that customers can contact them, just to give them a bit of publicity. All local, and then we back it all up with social media.”
How has your business grown since working with us? How have we helped?
“It’s really good because it’s allowed me to go national. So, originally, it was local wines in local markets in the local area and actually decided to expand the territory and, as a result of Diamond Logistics, I’ve been able to do that with my e-shop!
I’m linked up with your warehouse, so I’m selling all over the country, so that’s been really really beneficial. It’s the fact that I now have national coverage and not so dependent on local shops, local markets or local pubs, which I’m very happy to supply but I just felt I needed that national coverage. So you’ve made a really big difference.
Would you recommend us to other businesses?
Well absolutely, there’s no reason why not. It’s helped me, so I look forward to other businesses adopting Diamond Logistics!
