What was Sacred Spirit’s fulfilment needs?
The storage, packaging and distribution of alcoholic products can be a complex process. Due to the product’s delicate nature, it is of high priority to get the order from A to B completely unscathed and intact. At Diamond, we work closely with our alcohol fulfilment clients to ensure the most appropriate carrier is selected for their product using our logistics management software, Despatchlab. Integrated with Sacred Spirits website, our software handles all the online purchases made via their marketplace. The order is then picked and packed by our team, safely packaged and delivered to the customer using our same day or next day delivery service. With a concentrated team working behind the scenes, Sacred Spirits needed a trustworthy and reliable fulfilment partner like Diamond to help them achieve their growth and expansion targets.

What are their business plans for 2023?
In 2022, the Sacred Spirits team were delighted to see a return to normality after the upheaval of the Coronavirus Pandemic. They started to see the return of many on-trade customers, like bars and restaurants, and witnessed an increase in popularity of their products with new customers. This Christmas season will also see the inclusion of their Sacred Cardamom Gin in the Fever-Tree Christmas Cracker which is available exclusively online from John Lewis. As they set their sights on the New Year, the team at Sacred Spirits aim to introduce new and exciting products to their range but this is being kept a secret for the time being. They are also working on bringing awareness to the sustainable practices of their distilling technique, which uses 90% less energy than traditional distillation techniques.
For Christmas, Sacred Spirits have created a luxury festive hamper which includes a selection of their fantastic spirits and carefully sourced British items such as chocolates and truffles from Prestat; cheeses, crackers and chutney from Godminster in Somerset and charcuterie from Cobble Lane, London.
About Sacred Spirits
Sacred Spirits was founded in 2009, during what is now known as the “gin renaissance” by Ian Hart and Hilary Whitney. The husband-and-wife duo initially started their distillery from their own home based in Highgate, North London. Sacred Spirits was born from Ian’s love of sumptuous red wines and delicious gin and tonics. With his degree in Natural Sciences, Ian went about brewing his own London Dry Gin using a unique vacuum distillation method. Every Sunday evening, Ian would experiment with different concoctions to achieve the perfect tasting gin. He even used the customers of his local pub to taste test every batch of his experimental gin recipes and by batch no.23, Ian had found his winning formula. Fast forward 13 years to now and Sacred Gins have relocated their distillery to Highgate High Street and have even opened a premises around the corner from Spitalfields market. Their range now includes not only gins but a Sacred Rosehip Cup, Sacred English Amber Vermouth, Sacred English Dry Vermouth, Sacred Organic Vodka, Sacred London Dry Vodka, Sacred English Whisky Liqueur and Sacred Peated English Whisky, plus various Distillery Edition pre-bottled cocktails, such as the Hemingway Daiquiri and the Rosita.
