So, what help do you actually receive in terms of setup and becoming a Network Partner at Diamond Logistics?

I think, first and foremost, it’s about that knowledge and imparting the knowledge and experience that we have as business owners, and knowing what works and what doesn’t work.

As a result of that, we’ve developed a training platform. Each of our Network Partners receives the very best-in-class training around every element of the business, from sales right the way through to operations and everything in between.

Then, following the opening of your service centre, you’re going to be supported and coached by the team that we’ve got behind us, each with their own specialism within the sector.

Whether that’s technology, finance, marketing, the sales methodology, making sure that you’re consistent with your sales approach, business planning and much, much more.

I think it’s really interesting when we get some really big clients coming on board. We’ve been known to go and sit in on the big client appointments in order to bring them on board.

We launched Cambridge with their first big client, which was effectively worth £300,000 a year. That was a client negotiated by Diamond HQ.

We even send people around to help set up people’s WMS, warehouse management system, not wanting to use too much lingo there. So, there’s a huge amount of support from Diamond HQ.

And not just from Diamond HQ. I think we really are a family here. Every single Network Partner that we’ve taken on board, and there are over 30 as it stands at the minute, are like-minded business owners who are all pushing in the same direction.

That real collaboration and camaraderie across the entire network is really important.

I’ve run a small business in the past, and likewise you have as well. It is lonely sometimes. Just having fellow business owners that you can rub shoulders with, have a coffee with and bounce ideas around with is something that we very much champion within our business.
