Diamond Logistics Birmingham’s Managing Director Julian Westwood has been recognised for his strong growth and successful year by being shortlisted for Franchisee of the Year by The Startups Awards. The Franchise of the Year category is someone who has started in the last three years and has already exceeded targets & delighted customers.
Julian Westwood started his Diamond franchise in January 2014, having previously operated his own recruitment business. Since then he has seen his franchise grow and grow by following Diamonds winning formula. ‘I already had a growing business but I wanted to grow and evolve my key learnings to an implementation level. When I joined Diamond I was impressed with the innovative sales training to new franchisees. Its activity led and as long as the input is made the conversion ratio as explained by the Diamond Maths principle really works’.
Julian and Diamond Logistics have strong plans for future growth as the franchise grows around him ‘As the network grows I can continue to see myself growing within the Diamond network. As Diamond sell more postcodes on geographical areas I have looked into the opportunity of purchasing additional areas’
The extended growth of his business has meant that Julian has also been able to give back to the community, something which is part of Diamond’s winning mantra. ‘I have already employed my first employees, and have established a group of subcontractors, many of whom I am using on a daily basis’
