Deadlines Are King: Your Key Christmas Dates
Get these in your diary NOW—because missing them is the fastest way to turn Christmas into chaos.
- 20th December:Last day for 24-hour services.
- 19th December:Last call for 48-hour services.
- International shipments:Check local cut-offs and add 48 hours (at least!).
- Same-day courier:Available right up to Christmas Eve.
Big disclaimer: Carriers will be BUSY. Seriously busy. If you’re using popular providers like Royal Mail, give yourself a buffer of 24–48 hours to keep everything running smoothly. Don’t leave Santa hanging!
Diamond’s Holiday Hours
We’re with you for as long as we possibly can be this Christmas. Here’s when you can count on us:
- December 23rd:Business as usual.
- December 24th:Open 08:00–12:00 (no inputs to carriers).
- December 25th & 26th:Feet up, mince pies out. We’re closed.
- December 27th:Limited hours. Check your local service centre.
- December 30th:Back at it from 08:00–16:00.
- December 31st:Wrapping up early at 12:00 (no inputs to carriers).
- January 2nd:Back to business as usual!
Plan ahead to avoid those festive meltdowns (and we’re not just talking about the snowmen).

We all know Christmas shoppers can be, well… optimistic. But a little honesty goes a long way. Communicate early with your customers about delivery timelines, final order dates, and what to expect if they’re leaving things late (gift vouchers, anyone?). Clear comms = happy customers = fewer headaches for you.
And let’s face it—managing expectations now is way better than dealing with “Where’s my parcel?!” emails on Boxing Day.
