What documentation is required for international deliveries, and how can Diamond Logistics help make the process easier?

Brexit introduced significant changes and additional bureaucracy for logistics businesses. Goods must be sent with the correct paperwork and declared accurately, but the requirements continue to change and can be difficult for businesses sending internationally to manage.

Diamond Logistics has automated much of this process through Despatchlab. Because we control the technology, we have adapted it to account for post-Brexit requirements wherever possible.

The system can store information such as EORI numbers, Import One-Stop Shop numbers and, where applicable, XI EORI numbers for Northern Ireland.

Depending on the shipment and its destination, customs documentation may include CN22 or CN23 forms, or a full commercial invoice containing information such as the country of origin and relevant commodity codes.

As long as we receive the correct shipment information, Despatchlab can produce the paperwork required to help the goods clear customs as smoothly as possible.

We can also support different international trading arrangements, including shipments sent with duties paid or duties unpaid, and make sure the appropriate documentation is produced for the chosen method.
