So, what is the maximum size of goods that people can send on a same day courier, Dan?
Well, it is vehicle-specific. We have a range of vehicles that go from motorcycles right the way through to artic vehicles, so it is all about choosing the right vehicle.
That means we can transport anything in theory. Whatever the customer needs, we will find a vehicle and a solution for it.
Absolutely. I think the rule of thumb is that the larger the vehicle, the more notice we probably need.
Exactly. Motorcycles, small vans and anything up to a long wheelbase Transit van tend to be available ad hoc and on the same day. That is usually no problem. But the larger the vehicle, the more warning we have for your dedicated delivery, the more likely it is that we are going to be able to provide it.
One other thing about the maximum size of goods is that you have effectively rented the vehicle. You have rented the driver and the vehicle to go to your destination. So, if you want to fill it up, that can be a really cost-effective way of moving a lot of goods.
They can also do drops along the way. In some cases, that can work out as being a little more cost effective than using an overnight carrier, because if you divide the complete cost by the number of deliveries or parcels being transported, it can actually be a very cost-effective service.
It is all the economies of scale, but still using a same day courier.
If you want a smart yet friendly logistics solution then we are the choice for you.
We understand the frustrations that SMEs face when dealing with a faceless courier service. This is why we place people at the centre of what we do.
