So, here is a big question then: what is the difference between Diamond Logistics and any other courier company?

I am going to talk about people, which is pretty standard, and Dan is going to talk about technology.

Effectively, you are talking about a business with 30 years of heritage. We were established on 16 March 1992, and our couriers are our ambassadors on the road. They are CRB checked, fully trained, and many of them have tens of years of experience.

Combined with the collective experience within the business, which is probably nearing thousands of years, we know what we are doing.

We have been working with F1 racing teams, the Department of Health, the NHS and many other organisations with really urgent and important requirements for a long time. So, you can rest assured that we know what we are doing.

What we have had to do is twin that expertise with innovation to make sure we are at the forefront of client experience. That is the bit you can tell us all about, Dan, with Despatchlab.

That is the bit that excites me. There are a couple of things when it comes to the technology.

The power of what we are doing at Diamond Logistics is that we have more than 30 service centres across the UK, each controlling their own drivers.

When it comes to the technology, the trick was to tie all of that resource together and bring the capability and power of that network into one technological platform.

That has enabled us to make sure we have a driver app, so every driver is trackable in real time. Our clients have the peace of mind that when they book a same day courier service, they can see where that driver is on route to their destination.

At the same time, from our perspective, it helps us feed our drivers with work. It means we have happy drivers who are earning not just one way from A to B, but also back from B to A, or from B to C.

That has important environmental benefits as well, because it means we are minimising empty vehicles and maximising the load. So, we have happy drivers, we are trying to do our best for the environment, and if you are a receptionist or dispatch manager with your boss asking where a consignment is, you can track it online through a simple client interface.

Ultimately, it is a really easy-to-use user experience, and you can rely on us to deliver.

If you want a smart yet friendly logistics solution then we are the choice for you.

We understand the frustrations that SMEs face when dealing with a faceless courier service. This is why we place people at the centre of what we do.
