Kate reiterates, ‘Having attended a workshop myself it was a really interesting insight at the process of news gathering, the technical aspects behind the creation of the news, the studio set up and a practice in a live environment. It certainly reassured me that as long as you have an opinion you should and could make an effort to speak. We have a voice, and we should use it – not only for ourselves but to encourage other women to step forward’.
