The Diamond Network Partnership continues its commitment to the environment – with our members in Oxford, Darcia Logistics, being nominated in the Oxford Business Awards.
Launched in July 2020, Darcica Logistics is a family owned business based in Bicester, Oxfordshire. They provide solutions for fast and efficient delivery and fulfilment services. With a team of over 50 drivers, running out of two large depots, providing services for a number of high profile organisations and recently joined the Diamond network offering storage and fulfilment in our 15,000sq ft Bicester warehouse along with sustainable deliveries via a fleet of fully electric vehicles.
One of the first companies to join and successfully achieve the Mission Zero Standard and the first to introduce electric vehicles to the Palletways network, through to promoting sustainable practices across all staff. At Darcica Logistics, protecting and improving the environment is at the heart of everything they do. Looking ahead to a more sustainable future, they will be setting targets and applying principles for carbon reduction across all practices of their operations. Within just the first 18months of start up, Darcica Logistics are able to demonstrate their commitment to reducing our impact on the environment, leading the way in reducing the industry’s carbon footprint.
They have purchased electric vehicles especially to service the Oxford Zero Emission Zone; benefitting both business and the local community. Purchasing two electric forklifts as they have zero site emissions, means a cleaner, less noisy and safer work environment for employees and for every 10,000 hours of use, ICE-powered forklifts emit 120,000 more pounds of carbon emissions than electric forklifts.
From zero waste and positive supplier choice from renewable energy companies, to minimalizing water usage and offering one stop consolidated logistics to the local business community, whilst maximising use of electric vehicles, meant Darcica gained Mission Zero accreditation in October 2021.
