Its been a busy year here at diamond. We shared the UK’s frustration with the Brexit fiasco and hope that 2020 provides all businesses with some clarity. Passing the Brexit bill with a solid majority seems to indicate that progress can now be made. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
It taught us great lesson in the power of resilience and persistence and has enabled a sorting out of the wheat from the chaff. In every challenge there is opportunity!
Despite hideous trading conditions diamond has won awards, gone on the develop 4 further phases of its online platform; despatchlab, and has returned to expansion mode signing many new network members in the final quarter of 2019. And dozens of new clients too.

Network partners join us to enable their clients to utilise our unique three service combination – same day courier, express parcels and fulfilment. This then enables us as a group to fulfil our mission – helping SMEs around the UK to build their businesses on our one stop logistics platform. From online retailers in everything from mocktails to medicine, our network enables people to have a local supply relationship yet backed with all the resources of a national company. Tech Development
despatchlab continues to be at the heart of our business – our one stop logistics platform has enabled 100’s of businesses to enjoy easy integration this year saving hours of time and money too. We’ve completed 4 further stages of development and have two major projects rolling out in q1 and 2 next year to add even more services and traceability to our platform. Its had industry wide accolades…..yet to win an award but watch this space! ;)

Despite insecurity over Brexit we have seen some great new starts in 2019 from international clients. Revair has taken the world by storm with it revolutionary new hair dryer, with its fulfilment supported by Team Guildford.
We’ve seen an uplift in eco clients, new start ups from beauty products to baby wear and seen subscription boxes really take the market by storm – with particular congratulations to our new And our new subscription box super star – Molly Masters and her Books That Matter that has gone from strength to strength. Its really interesting how each site seems to have a speciality – from electronics, to babywear, to subscription boxes – every diamond site has its specialist subject.
2020 sees quite a few new client launches for us here at diamond – TAKK is a hotly anticipated start up – you can find out more about when they launch in January – we’ll be featuring them here. And there are quite a few scale ups too – with Epic Stuff and Revair doing very well – plus may many more.

Goodbye 2019, hello 2020
2019 has been not without its challenges – but the team effort and spirit behind diamond continues to soar. I’d personally like to thank everyone in my team for a sterling effort this year – and I look forward to 2020 with enthusiasm.
